I know it has been a while, but I have been busy with a lot of work. I hope everyone is enjoying our club so far! We have seen a lot of  success all ready and we are looking forward to more with the upcoming tournaments. If anyone has any feedback for the club please come up to any of us at a meeting or do not hesitate to send an email. Today I am going to recommend a Youtube channel that analyzes professional poker hands. The channel is known as The Poker Guys and their show, The Breakdown is a very good way to see how some people do what they do in different poker hands. I highly suggest you guys watch, as these two will 100% improve your game.

How is everybody doing? Thank you guys for all showing up to our Welcome Back Tournament. We broke the record of the most entrants to come and play at any tournament ever! We had 70 entrants, and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun playing on Saturday. We also had 6 full tables last night which was great! There is an online tournament tonight at 8:05 PM. If anyone is still having trouble with registering for Pokerstars send us an e-mail ASAP. I found a very funny poker video that I think you guys will like. It features poker pro Phil Hellmuth going all in with three nines in a cash game against an amateur who calls with pocket kings. Phil feels bad for the guy because the table shamed him for slow-rolling the amateur, so Phil decides to run the turn and river 4 times to give the amateur a better chance of getting some money back. What happens is hilarious! I hope you enjoy!

Hello everyone,

 

As some of you may know, our Champions Tournament for the top 10 was played this past Sunday to determine our champion for the year. I would like to congratulate everyone who made the champions tournament for a great effort throughout the year, and a great tournament.

 

At the end of the day, the results were as follows:

8th - Anthony D'Amico

7th - Adam Bassler

6th - Matt Alaimo

5th - Matt Urso 

4th - Josh Brucker

3rd - Ian Garnett

2nd - Jason Hu

1st - Kevin Stanis

 

Congratulations to Kevin Stanis on his victory, claiming not only the most points throughout the year, but also the Champions Tournament bracelet. It was a tightly contested tournament until we reached 5 handed play, where Kevin amassed a commanding chip lead. The tournament finally came to a close as Jason Hu went all in with Q5, only for Kevin to wake up with pocket aces.

 

Congratulations to everyone for a fantastic year, and thank you to the many graduating seniors who have helped turned poker club into the thriving community it is. I hope to see many of you again next year as we continue to grow and add new members to our club.
